International Centre of the Sisters of St. Joseph

The International Center is a collaborative project of all the Congregations of Sisters of St. Joseph in the world, having their origins in the Congregation founded in 1650 by Jean Pierre Medaille, SJ, and six women, in Le Puy-en-Velay, France. The mission of the Centre is to promote interaction, collaboration and communion among Sisters, Associates and lay partners in creating an earth community based on the values of right relationship with God, with others, and with the planet.

Sisters from the College of St. Rose Visit Le Puy

Sisters Sean and Mary Anne visited the St. Joseph Shrine in Le Puy

Sisters Sean Peters, director of Mission Experience in the Office of Spiritual Life, and Mary Anne Nelson, associate professor, School of Arts and Humanities, traveled with the 48 students who comprised the choir of the College of St. Rose. The group visited Le Puy on the weekend of March 3-5, 2018.

The sisters also visited the Kitchen, the Archives, and the International Centre. Although Sister Sean has been to Le Puy before, it was Sister Mary Anne's first trip.

Nine of the students were curious about the Kitchen and the Archives, so they joined the sisters in a trek through history.
