Fontbonne University Celebrates 100th Anniversary with Pilgrimage in Le Puy

The group poses in front of Mother St. John Fontbonne's birthplace home.

The group listens to President Ann McElaney-Johnson of Mount St. Mary's University explain how the university purchased the birthplace of Mother St. John Fontbonne in Bas-en-Basset.

Narrow streets with traffic made walking and picture-taking in lines mandatory.

Arrival at the International Centre

Guess who has a birthday today.

Sr. Eluiza, staff member of the International Centre, greets Sr. Joan (left) and the group behind her.

Going to the Kitchen

A bronchitis outbreak in the nursing home that houses the Kitchen made masks mandatory to protect the group. Below, the group files into the Institute of St. Joseph complex.

The Kitchen was an inspirational experience and the pilgrims were moved and happy to be there.

Off to Rome for the third part of the pilgrimage. The first part of the pilgrimage included several days in Paris.
